This paper explores existing music therapy assessments for pediatrics and determines a niche for a new assessment tool to fill. The new assessment tool named the Developmental Music Therapy Assessment Profile (DEVMAP) aims to be used for children ages 2 through 18 and balances clinical usability, a throughline of music, and a delineation of developmental milestones. Additionally, the DEVMAP is tested for reliability.
